Woodbridge Ambient Music Festival - Celebrating The World Of Ambient Music

This weekend, Woodbridge Ambient Music Festival is back on the banks of the River Deben for its third year.

The festival will be held over three days, with local artists, poets and organisations hosting events scattered across Woodbridge and alongside the river Deben. Ambient music will provide the backdrop to every event.

The festival hasn't only attracted local talent, with members of the London Ambient Orchestra playing on Saturday at St Mary's. In the past, artists from as far as Germany have come to support and play at the festival.

Organised by Jans Pulsford, the festival aims to celebrate ambient music and the role Woodbridge has played in its development. Melton born Brian Eno, who achieved worldwide fame with Roxy Music, is often credited as the father of ambient music. Two years ago, Brian Eno attended the festival to talk about how the river, airbases and his early surroundings in Woodbridge influenced his music.

Woodbridge Ambient Music celebrates community spirit and brings ambient music back to where it all began. Tickets are selling out quickly so don't miss out.
